2-Ingredient Orange Cream Float
4 cups orange soda, well chilled
8 small scoops (about 4 cups) vanilla ice cream
Chill your glass mason jars in the refrigerator or freezer for at least 10–15 minutes so the floats stay cold and the ice cream melts more slowly.
Place the chilled mason jars on a light-colored kitchen counter or tray. Add 2 small scoops of vanilla ice cream to each jar, leaving enough room at the top for the soda and foam.
Very slowly pour the cold orange soda down the inside of each jar, letting it gently flow over the ice cream. This helps control the foam so it doesn’t overflow too quickly.
Pause halfway through pouring to let the thick, creamy white foam rise and settle, then continue adding soda until the bright orange liquid nearly reaches the rim and the foam forms a pillowy cap on top.
