This slow cooker 4-ingredient creamy Italian chicken is one of those toss-it-in-and-go dinners that makes busy weeknights feel a little more special. You simply lay raw chicken breasts in the slow cooker, sprinkle on a packet of dry Italian dressing mix, then add just two more ingredients for that rich, creamy sauce everyone ends up asking about. It’s a Midwest-style comfort classic—simple pantry staples, cozy flavors, and hardly any dishes.
Serve this creamy Italian chicken spooned over hot egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or steamed white rice so all that sauce has something to soak into. Add a simple green side like roasted broccoli, green beans, or a tossed salad to balance the richness. Warm dinner rolls or garlic bread are great for mopping up extra sauce. For a family-style table, keep it casual: set the slow cooker on warm, put out a big bowl of noodles or potatoes, and let everyone scoop their own.
Slow Cooker Creamy Italian Chicken
Servings: 4

Ingredients
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 (1-ounce) packet dry Italian dressing mix
1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
4 ounces cream cheese, cut into cubes and softened
Directions
Place the raw chicken breasts in a single layer in the bottom of your slow cooker. If they overlap a little, that’s okay.
Evenly sprinkle the dry Italian dressing mix over the top of the chicken breasts. This is where all that flavor starts, so try to cover most of the surface.
Spoon the condensed cream of chicken soup over the seasoned chicken, spreading it gently so it mostly covers the chicken.
Scatter the cubed, softened cream cheese over the soup. There’s no need to stir; it will melt down as it cooks.
Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours, or on HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is very tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Once the chicken is cooked, use two forks to shred it directly in the slow cooker, or remove the chicken to a cutting board, shred, and return it to the pot.
Stir everything together well until the shredded chicken is coated and the cream cheese and soup have formed a smooth, creamy Italian sauce. If the sauce seems too thick, you can stir in a splash of milk or chicken broth to loosen it.
