6 cups of day-old bread, cubed
2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 large eggs
2 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon sugar mixed with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon for topping
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread and diced apples.
